Admissions

Our schools are very popular both with parents in the catchment area and beyond.

If you wish to make an enquiry about current places, please read the ‘places available’ section of the page below to see the current situation in individual schools and year groups across the Trust.

To apply for schools at the standard entry point (i.e. Reception, Year 5, Year 7 or Year 9) please apply via Staffordshire County Council or your local authority if you do not live in Staffordshire. The easiest way is online via https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/Education/home.aspx

As an Academy Trust, we are our own admissions authority. We do, however, still work very closely with Staffordshire County Council admissions team. Please feel free to download and read our Admissions Policy below.

Places Available

Nursery Places

We have four First School nurseries situated in Penkridge, Brewood and Bishops Wood.  Two of our schools have places for children who are 3+ and two of our schools have places for children that are 2+. Parents of children that are 3+ are entitled to at least 15 hours of fully funded nursery education. Please email enquiries@penkvalley.co.uk for more information.

First School Places

For 2024 we still have the last few places available for the reception class at Marshbrook First School (Penkridge), Princefield First School (Penkridge), St John's First School (Bishops Wood) and St Mary and St Chad (Brewood).

Middle School Places

Penkridge Middle School has limited spaces remaining, please email enquiries@penkvalley.co.uk to enquire.

High School Places

For 2024 we still have a few remaining spaces at The Rural Enterprise Academy, Rodbaston for all year groups.  Please email enquiries@penkvalley.co.uk for more information.

In September 2023 Year 9 was oversubscribed at Wolgarston High School, Penkridge.  However, there is available space in other year groups.  Please email enquiries@penkvalley.co.uk for more information.
